Christmas Celebrations 2022 at Belleek PS

What a busy few weeks we have had here at Belleek Primary School! On Tuesday 13th December we had a delicious Christmas dinner served by Mrs O’Brien, Mrs Ramsey and even Mrs Ovens helped out! Thank you all, the pupils and staff really enjoyed it.

During one of our dress rehearsals, we even had a visit from santa! He told us we are all on the nice list this year, thank goodness for that!

We had two very special Pupil of the Month awards for both Calvin and Reuben for wonderful acting and singing in our Christmas Show. A huge congratulations to you both.

For the grand finale of celebrations we had our amazing production of ‘No Room for Mr Stink.’ What a talented bunch of pupils we have here in Belleek! They all performed so well and were so well behaved during rehearsals. We are all so proud of each and every one of you.

Enjoy all of our fantastic photos as we certainly enjoyed every minute! We wish you all a very happy and healthy Christmas. Best wishes for 2023!

Slip into Slippers for Age NI

On Tuesday 8th November 2022 we all rolled out of bed in our pyjamas, slipped our slippers or fluffy socks on and had a fun day in school! Our focus was on Age NI and how we could help the elderly people in our community as well as across Northern Ireland. We managed to raise an impressive £100 for the Age NI charity which will be put to good use to provide warmth for our elderly folk.

Thank you to all of our families for their kind donations.

Harvest Assembly

We had a lovely morning celebrating during our Harvest Assembly. This year we really focused on the farmers and all of their hard work in our local community as well as worldwide. We sang songs, displayed art work, performed drama pieces and said prayers thanking God for our wonderful crops. Well done boys and girls, I’m sure all of our parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and childminders would agree that they were all fantastic! Thanks to all of our hardworking staff members for their preparation for the assembly. A special mention to Mrs Ovens for all of her delicious baking, simply scrumptious!

Also, congratulations to our P3 pupil, David Arthur for being selected as a winner in the Young Writers competition. This is an amazing achievement as there were only 5 winners selected from approximately 4,000 entries. We are all so proud of you David Arthur!

Finally, a huge thank you to all for your donations for the local food bank. We managed to raise £200 as well as provide a huge amount of non-perishable food items for this extremely useful resource.

Half Term Treats

Our boys and girls have had a busy short week at school this week. They have been doing lots of Autumnal and Halloween activities throughout the week.

We had a visit from the Devenish GAA club to show us the trophy they won during a Senior Men’s County Final. Two of our pupils; Scott and Robin who are both members of the club played during half time. Well done to all involved!

We also had our Halloween disco on Wednesday afternoon and played lots of traditional party games such as pass the parcel, musical statues, jump the mat and the cone game. Fabian and Noah from P6 also brought in something from home that they are proud of. Well done boys on your excellent achievements.

As well as all of this, we had two very special awards to give out, our October Pupils of the Month. Well done to Maya in Mr Beattie’s class and Lewis in Miss McMorris’ class. Keep up the fantastic work everyone and we hope you all have a fabulous half term break!

We had an excellent last week at school celebrating our fabulous Primary Seven pupil, Jessica as well as all of our other achievements throughout the year. Sports Day 2022

We had a lovely day on Tuesday 14th June celebrating our school Sports Day. The children particpated so well and tried their very best in every race. Well done boys and girls!

It was so lovely to be able to welcome families back to spectate after not being able to do this in previous years due to covid. Thank you all for coming.

A huge thank you to Mr Beattie for his brilliant organisation on the day and to all staff members for their continued hard work.

The Platinum Jubilee

What an amazing afternoon we had on Wednesday 1st June to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. We were so fortunate to have secured funding for this event through ‘The National Lottery’ Fund. This meant that absolutely everything was free! There was lots to enjoy including bouncy castles, a coffee cart, BBQ, face painting, lucky dip, ice cream van, Erne Highland Dancers and The Garrison Accordion Band.

Our school playground was packed with families and members of the wider community, which was so lovely to see after a long spell of not being able to socially interact. The weather was fabulous too!

Thank you all so much for attending and your continued support.
